Ken Walibora was a creative writer, a speaker, a media personality, cultural and literary scholar popularly known for his debut novel, Siku Njema.
He held a PhD in Comparative Cultural Studies from Ohio State University in the USA. He served as an assistant professor in African Languages at the University of Wisconsin in Madison — USA before taking up the position of Kiswahili quality manager at Nation Media Group until January 2017.
Dr Walibora was a swahili news anchor at Nation Media's NTV and also lecturered at the Riara University.
Walibora's remains were on Wednesday morning traced to Kenyatta National Hospital Mortuary with indications that he was hit by a bus along Landhies Road.
Preliminary reports indicate Walibora was crossing the road, car keys in the hand, and a press card in his pocket, when the accident happened.
